Description
Benefit to the sector, society, and the economy:
Intermediate emergency first aid skills training equips workers with the skills and knowledge to provide initial care until advanced medical care arrives. This can reduce the risk of further injuries in the workplace and improve the response to emergencies. It helps employers to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees.
The programme provides members of society with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond to medical emergencies in their homes, communities, and public spaces. This can save lives and prevent further harm to individuals in need of emergency medical care.
It can reduce the burden on the healthcare system by equipping more individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond to medical emergencies. This can lead to improved health outcomes, create jobs and increased productivity, which can benefit the economy as a whole.
