The purpose of this skills programme is to prepare a learner to operate as a Counterbalanced Lift Truck F1-4 Driver. The learner will understand the high-risk environment in which they will be operating. They will understand the physics of momentum and how to safely work in different environments. In addition, learners will develop communication skills in noisy industrial environments.
A Counterbalanced Lift Truck F1-4 Driver operates a Counterbalanced Lift Truck that is designed and constructed for the purpose of raising or lowering to different positions, store or retrieve a load up to rated capacity of F1- Up to 3000 kg | F2 – Up to 7000Kg | F3 – Up to15000Kg | F4 – Above 15000Kg
This skills programme is developed to enable a qualified learner to:
- Conduct Counterbalanced Lift Truck F1-4 pre-start check-ups and start
- Move and position loads with a Counterbalanced Lift Truck F1 Refuel/energise, park and shut down a Counterbalanced Lift Truck F1-4
